Planning a vacation to Central Florida and need a list of rides at Universal Orlando? While Universal has three parks, let’s look at the rides at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure today – along with their height restrictions and requirements.
List of Rides at Universal Studios Florida
Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. This screen based ride has guests follow those crazy yellow minions on an adventure.
Height requirement: 40″
Shrek 4-D. Guests join Shrek and Donkey in an interactive theater with water jets and motion effects.
Height requirement: No height requirement.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. This thrill ride lets guests pick their favorite rock song to listen to while this roller coaster climbs to a height of 167 feet and reaches 65 miles per hour.
Height requirement: 51″
Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. Guests take a seat in the 6B studio and are invited on a race around New York City against Jimmy Fallon.
Height requirement: 40″
Revenge of the Mummy. This dark roller coaster takes guests face to face with a Mummy. There are sections of total darkness and jolting forward and backward motions.
Height requirement: 48″
Transformers: The Ride 3-D. Guests help the Transformers, including Optimus Prime, to keep the AllSpark safe from the Decepticons.
Height requirement: 40″
Fast and Furious – Supercharged. Guests are able to hop on a party bus and head to an after party with their favorite Fast and Furious Family, which turns into a high speed chase through San Francisco.
Height requirement: 40″
Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. Located in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, guests get a tour they will never forget of the Gringotts Bank vaults.
Height requirement: 42″
Hogwarts Express. This train takes guests back and forth between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Be sure to ride the Hogwarts Express both directions – it is a different experience heading towards King’s Cross Station than Hogsmeade. It’s important to note that to ride the train, you must have a park-to-park ticket.
Height requirement: No height requirement.
E.T. Adventure. Hop onto a bicycle and head to the Green Planet with E.T. If you love nostalgia, you’ll get to see a young Steven Spielberg introduce the ride in the video.
Height requirement: 34″
The Simpsons Ride. Board the ride vehicle and take a trip through Krusty the Clown’s theme park.
Height requirement: 40″
Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster. This kid geared roller coaster is a great first coaster for kids that are 36″ and taller.
Height requirement: 36″
Men in Black Alien Attack. Guests can join Will Smith and the Men in Black to fight off aliens with your own alien zapper.
Height requirement: 42″
Kang ‘n Kodos Twirl ‘n’ Hurl. This classic carnival style ride takes riders on a short spin and offers good views of the Springfield area.
Height requirement: No height requirement.
List of Rides at Universal’s Islands of Adventure Florida
Storm Force Accelatron. This classic tea cup style ride is perfect for younger guests.
Height requirement: No height requirement.
Doctor Doom’s Fearfall. This space shot ride shoots guests up to the sky. Don’t keep your eyes closed on the way down – it’s a great view!
Height requirement: 52″
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. This screen ride puts guests in a ride vehicle to try to keep up with Spider-Man as he keeps the city safe.
Height requirement: 40″
The Incredible Hulk Coaster. A launch coaster with seven inversions and speeds up to 67 miles per hour.
Height requirement: 54″
Caro-Suess-el: Located in Suess Landing, this carousel allows guests to ride on one of Dr. Seuss’ creatures.
Height requirement: No height requirement.
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. Also located in Seuss Landing, this Dumbo style ride whirls riders around in a circle. But, you’d better listen carefully to the music – or you might leave wet!
Height requirement: No height requirement.
The Cat in the Hat. This classic dark ride takes guests on a silly ride with antics from the Cat in the Hat.
Height requirement: No height requirement.
The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride. This kid friendly train rides provides guests a great view of Universal’s Islands of Adventure park.
Height requirement: 36″
Pteranodon Flyers. An aerial coaster ride geared towards kids that provides a nice view of the park below.
Height requirement: Between 36″ and 56″. (Note: if you’re over 56″ you must be accompanying a child between 36″ and 56″).
Jurassic Park River Adventure. A river raft ride with an 85 foot drop. Be prepared for the possibility of getting soaked on your adventure!
Height requirement: 42″
Jurassic World VelociCoaster. Universal’s new roller coaster takes guests on a thrilling ride with a 140 foot drop, a barrel roll over the lagoon, and speeds of 70 miles per hour.
Height requirement: 51″
Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges. A round raft water ride, again, be prepared to get soaked.
Height requirement: 42″
Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls. A log flume ride that guarantees to get you soaking wet – perfect for a hot, Florida day.
Height requirement: 44″
Skull Island: Reign of Kong. This dark ride takes guests deep into Skull Island, where you’ll come face to face with King Kong himself. This ride has some realistic scary moments with dinosaurs, bats, spiders, bugs, and King Kong.
Height requirement: 36″
Flight of the Hippogriff. A kid friendly roller coaster located in Hogsmeade.
Height requirement: 36″
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. This thrilling dark ride takes guests on a flying journey throughout the Hogwarts Castle and grounds.
Height requirement: 48″
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventures. This themed roller coaster takes guests through several Harry Potter scenes; while riding on a motorbike or sidecar.
Height requirement: 48″
