22 Places to Celebrate Your Kid’s Birthday in Orlando

Crayola Experience

Crayola Experience offers 70,000 square feet of creative fun with 25+ hands on activities right in the Florida Mall. To make the most of your visit, you’ll want to plan 3 to 4 hours at the Crayola Experience. My kid’s favorite activities are wax spin art and making their own shaped Crayola crayons.

Thinking of hosting a birthday party at Crayola Experience? You’ll definitely have the most colorful birthday party with their birthday party packages.

Monkey Joe’s Orlando

Monkey Joe’s is a play space full of inflatable bounce houses. For kids 12 and under, they will have a great time running, jumping, climbing, and sliding.

Of course, Monkey Joe’s offers several different birthday packages that include a private party room, party host, themed plates, a souvenir party favor, and a birthday gift.

Walt Disney World

It’s no surprise that Walt Disney World lands on our list of the best places to celebrate a birthday in Orlando. Kids of all ages will love a day out at Disney. Have a Star Wars lover? Head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If your child loves princesses, you’ll want to go to Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Have an animal lover? Celebrate at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Looking for a cultural experience? You’ll want to head to Disney’s Epcot.

No matter which park you choose to celebrate at, be sure to pick up a free birthday button for the birthday boy or girl when you enter the park. We’ve seen some pretty awesome magic from cast members when kids wear the birthday button.

Dave & Buster’s

If we left it up to our son, he’d choose an arcade every single year to celebrate his birthday. Luckily, there is a Dave and Buster’s right in Orlando. With hundreds of games from virtual reality to sports, and shooting to bowling – there is a little something for everyone.

And, book a party package and leave the food and cleanup to Dave & Buster’s.

Mini Golf

With a handful of mini golf courses in Orlando, our pick for celebrating a special occasion is Congo River Mini Golf. Not only is their 18 hole mini golf course a lot of fun, but you can also feed live alligators, play games in the arcade, and play basketball on their unique court.

Congo River Mini Golf offers party packages and a private room – making it easy to celebrate a birthday with them.

Universal Orlando Resort

Have a Harry Potter lover? Maybe you’re planning a party for a Jurassic Park fanatic? You’ll want to head to the Universal Orlando Resort. With Harry Potter attractions in both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, you’ll want to get a 2 park ticket and explore both of them. Superhero and Jurassic Park fans will love celebrating at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, while fans of movies will enjoy Universal Studios.

While they don’t offer party rooms, don’t forget to get your birthday button from any guest service location when you enter. You might get a special treat!

iFly

If the birthday girl or boy is adventurous, consider iFly to celebrate. iFly is indoor sky diving. If you’ve never experienced it before, here’s what you need to know: You get suited up in a flight suit, then enter a vertical wind tunnel with an iFly team member. They turn on the tunnel and you take flight! Have younger children? No problem. Children as young as 3 can fly at iFly Orlando.

In need of a birthday package? Ifly offers several options to choose from.

Have a kid who loves coasters and animals? There’s nothing better than a trip to SeaWorld Orlando where your coaster loving kid can ride six different coasters and visit with animals from dolphins and whales to penguins and manatees.

While they don’t have party packages, SeaWorld Orlando is still a great way to celebrate a special day.

Discovery Cove Orlando

For the ultimate hands on animal experience in Orlando, take the birthday boy or girl to Discovery Cove where they can swim with dolphins, stingrays, and exotic fish. You’ll love that the resort is all inclusive – which means it includes breakfast, lunch, towels, sunscreen, snorkel gear, and more. Learn more about Discovery Cove.

Be sure to tell the host when you check in that you are celebrating a birthday. You’ll receive a special lanyard and birthday wishes throughout the day.

Orlando Science Center

If the birthday boy or girl is between the ages of 3 and 11, consider celebrating their birthday at the Orlando Science Center. While younger kids will love playing in the hands-on attractions in the KidsTown play area, the older kids will love Drip Drop Splash and Explore It.

The Orlando Science Center advertises that they have birthday parties “…down to a science!” Birthday party packages at the Orlando Science Center are most inclusive than other venues. They include pizza, birthday cake, ice cream, beverages, a party host, and more.

Andretti Indoor Kart and Games

Andretti Indoor Kart and Games features indoor go karts. All of Andrettis Indoor Karts are electric, and they offer special karts for kids ages 4-7. When you are finished racing, play their arcade games, virtual reality, laser tag, or bowling.

Andretti Indoor Kart and Games can host parties of all sizes.

Orlando Watersports Complex

My kid’s favorite part of the Orlando Watersports Complex is the 10,000 square foot Aquapark. Not sure what this is? It’s an inflatable obstacle course that floats in the water. The Orlando Watersports Complex also features two cables where you can wakeboard, waterski, wakeskate, and kneeboard.

Orlando Watersports Complex offers two party options: Aquapark or cable. Both options offer discounts for more birthday party guests.

Escape Room

There are dozens of escape rooms in Orlando. Having done about 100 rooms, our favorite three escape room companies are Escapology (kids will love their Scooby-Doo and the Spooky Castle Adventure room), The Bureau (check out the Puppet Heist mission), and Doldrick’s Escape Room (kids are the perfect for Spoopy’s Ghoulish Graveyard Gameshow).

You can choose from several different party packages at Fun Spot America. And, don’t forget to book a party host to help the day go off without issues.

Disney Springs

Disney Springs is a free outdoor entertainment venue with shops and restaurants. We’ve celebrated several kid’s birthdays at Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex Cafe. If you aren’t into eating, browse the shops including the Lego store and the largest Disney store, or see a Cirque de Soleil show.

Water Park

There are a handful of water parks in Orlando, but hands down the best one is Volcano Bay. Once you enter the park, you’ll forget that you are in Orlando, Florida and you’ll be transported to a tropical island. A fun perk of Volcano Bay: The park uses a wristband that allows guests to virtually wait in the lines. When it is your turn to ride, your wristband will tell you. This limits the time you’ll spend waiting in lines. If your kids are good swimmers, don’t forget to check out the Rapid River. It’s a blast!

Icon Park

If you are looking for a memorable experience for your child’s next birthday, consider hosting it at Orlando’s Icon Park. The venue introduced birthday party packages in fall of 2022. Icon Park’s birthday package includes a ride on The Wheel, pizza, a drink, arcade credits, and photos.

While you are at Icon Park, don’t forget to check out the SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium, Madame Tussauds Orlando, and the Museum of Illusions Orlando.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

If are looking to celebrate a big day in a special way, consider a trip to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium. We describe it as part museum, part hands on, and all unbelievable!

If you are looking to host a birthday party, call for group rates for 20 or more guests.

Epic Paddle Adventures

Before you go, we write a lot of content here at Unofficial Florida about nature and outdoors. They offer several tours, including combos that include horseback riding, too!
